Marcus Taylor has joined the Global ReSpecialty division of global broker Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions arm, focusing on Non-Marine and Specialty business, effective December 2nd, 2020.
As part of the Global ReSpecialty team, which has a focus on large reinsurance and retrocession deals, Taylor reports to Richard Wheeler, Divisional Director for Non-Marine and Property Retrocession.
In recent year, Taylor has been based in Australia and Asia, so that’s expected to be an area of focus, although Aon has said that he will become involved in a wider range of business.
Previously, Taylor served as Head of Reinsurance, Asia Pacific, at reinsurance broker Ed. From March 2011 to July 2018 he worked at IAG in numerous roles, including Executive Manager Reinsurance, International.
Taylor is in fact returning to Aon after previously working at the broker between 2001 and 2011 in a range of positions, including Account Manager – North American Treaty Reinsurance, Assistant Vice President – Reinsurance, and Director of Reinsurance – Asia Pacific.
