Specialist insurer Markel International has hired Mark Nunn as an energy underwriter based in Singapore, reporting to Christian Stobbs, Managing Director of Markel International in Asia.
In his new role, Nunn will work closely with Markel’s international energy team to manage and further develop the firm’s energy portfolio for the Asia Pacific region.
Nunn replaces Tim Foister, who has returned to work alongside the firm’s Energy team in London. He brings more than a decade of industry experience to the role, having worked as an energy insurance specialist with insurance and reinsurance broker, Marsh.
Most recently, he served as the energy sales leader in Asia and brings extensive experience in the global energy marketplace. While at Marsh, Nunn assumed a number of responsibilities, including supporting clients in the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors of the energy industry.
