Insurance broker and risk advisor Marsh has announced the promotion of Sean Chong Chou to CEO Malaysia, effective 1st of January 2023.
Chou is stepping up from his current position as Deputy CEO, which he has held for over a decade.
According to Marsh, Chou will be responsible for delivering the company’s wide range of professional services and advisory solutions to clients across Malaysia.
He takes over the position from CB Lim, who is moving into the role of chief client officer after serving as CEO for almost two decades.
Lim will hold this new position alongside his current commitments as a board director of Marsh Malaysia and the country corporate officer of Marsh McLennan Malaysia.
Meanwhile, Marsh has made an array of global senior appointments which are set to take effect in January, including the naming of Christos Adamantiadis as CEO of Continental Europe, the naming of Billy Aldous as Vice President of Cyber, and the promotion of Paul Knowles to Global Head of its Private Equity and M&A Practice.
In November, the firm also announced its intention to exercise its option to acquire the majority of shares in Beassur Marsh, following its acquisition of a stake in the Moroccan insurance broker in June 2019.
