Leading insurance broker and risk advisor, Marsh, has announced the appointment of Christos Adamantiadis as CEO, Continental Europe, effective from the 1st of January 2023.
Adamantiadis joined Marsh back in 2018 and is currently CEO of Marsh’s Middle East and Africa region.
Before joining the firm, he was Chief Executive of UAE-based Oman Insurance Company for 3 years, and also spent 20 years at AIG in various management roles, including overseeing its operations in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, Turkey, the Middle East, and North Africa.
In the new role, Marsh states that Adamantiadis will oversee the management and development of its risk advisory and insurance broking operations across Continental Europe. He succeeds Siegmund Fahrig, who will retire from the business at the end of the year.
Adamantiadis will be based in Zurich and will report to Flavio Piccolomini, President of Marsh’s International Division.
Piccolomini commented, “Christos is a highly experienced leader who excels in developing teams, services, and solutions across multiple geographies that benefit our clients and deliver growth.
“Under his leadership, our Continental Europe region will be well-placed to support clients in this rapidly-changing and often volatile risk landscape. On behalf of Marsh, I would like to thank Siegi for his service and extend our best wishes as he embarks on this next chapter in his life.”
Adamantiadis added, “Clients across Continental Europe are facing some of the greatest economic and geopolitical challenges of their time. As risk advisors, our role is to help them find the right solutions that lead to stability and growth.
“I look forward to working with our strong regional team as we work together to enable our clients to manage their risks effectively and continue to thrive.”
