Global insurance and reinsurance broker, Marsh, has announced the appointment of Katherine Keefe as US Cyber Incident Management Leader.
In this newly created role, Keefe will be responsible for leading the broker’s efforts to assist clients responding to and managing cyber events, including data breaches and ransomware attacks, whilst giving advice on pre and post cyber incident management.
She will also oversee the firm’s relationships with the broader cyber incident management marketplace, including breach coaches, forensic investigators, and cyber insurers.
Keefe will be based in Philadelphia, and will report to Tom Reagan, US Cyber Practice Leader.
She will be joining Marsh from specialist re/insurer Beazley, where she served as Head of Breach Response Services for the last eight years. Prior to her career in the insurance space, she was a lawyer specialising in all aspects of health care law, including health care data privacy and security.
Reagan commented: “In the wake of the global pandemic, organizations are looking for strategies and solutions to help mitigate the threat of cyber-attacks, which are intensifying in both frequency and severity. As one of the foremost experts in her field, Katherine’s experience, knowledge, and expertise will be of tremendous value to our clients.”
Keefe added: “Marsh’s cyber insight and analysis, proprietary risk assessment tools, and insurance products and services are best-in-class. I look forward to working with this talented team and further building on these market-leading solutions to help Marsh clients successfully respond to and maximise insurable recovery from cyber events.”
