Marsh, a risk advisory, insurance broking and reinsurance services firm, has announced the appointment of Ana Gonzalez Felgueroso as Europe Nuclear Growth Leader within its Marsh Risk business.

The appointment takes effect immediately, with Felgueroso based in Madrid and reporting to David Lindqvist, Head of Energy & Power, Marsh Risk Specialty, Europe.

The company said the newly established role has been created to strengthen its support for the nuclear sector across Europe. As part of her responsibilities, Felgueroso will lead Marsh’s nuclear growth initiatives in the region, acting as a key contact for clients and helping to coordinate advisory and risk management services across different markets.

Marsh stated that she will work alongside colleagues across its international network to assist organisations with the design and placement of complex nuclear insurance programmes, including Nuclear Third-Party Liability cover, while facilitating access to global insurance and reinsurance capacity through the company’s placement capabilities.

Felgueroso joins the business with significant experience in nuclear insurance and risk management, together with a detailed understanding of the regulatory and commercial factors shaping the European market.

Most recently, she managed a multinational insurance and reinsurance portfolio at ARN (Aseguradores de Riesgos Nucleares), which administers the Spanish Nuclear Risks Underwriting Agreement (ESPANUCLEAR). Earlier in her career, she held positions with CESCE, Spain’s Commercial Office in Amman and BBVA, gaining experience in areas including risk assessment, trade support and corporate finance.

Lindqvist commented: “As Europe accelerates investment in secure, low-carbon power, nuclear stakeholders are facing heightened and interconnected risks, from regulatory change and supply-chain constraints to construction complexity and evolving liability considerations. Ana’s appointment reinforces our commitment to helping clients build resilient risk strategies and secure the protection and risk capital needed to move projects forward with confidence.”

Marsh said the appointment underlines its ongoing investment in specialist expertise to support clients involved in nuclear projects and infrastructure development across Europe.

Felgueroso added: “Nuclear energy is increasingly central to Europe’s long-term energy resilience and decarbonisation objectives, but the risk landscape is both specialised and fast-changing. I’m looking forward to working with clients across Europe and with organisations globally to bring together Marsh’s advisory expertise, placement capabilities, and global market relationships to help them strengthen preparedness, optimise risk transfer, and support investment across the nuclear value chain.”
