Marsh names Charles Williamson as CEO of Victor, Brian Hanuschak becomes Chairman

Marsh, the world’s leading insurance broker and risk advisor, announced the appointment of Charles Williamson as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Victor, its prominent global managing general underwriting business.

marsh-logoEffective August 1, Williamson will succeed Brian Hanuschak, who will take on the role of Chairman of Victor.

As CEO, Williamson will take charge of overseeing all of Victor’s operations across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, and Australia.

His primary focus will be on delivering enhanced insurance solutions to brokers and their clients, strengthening Victor’s position as a leader in the global underwriting market. Williamson will report directly to Martin South, President and CEO of Marsh.

Based in New York, Williamson brings with him an impressive 30-year track record of experience in the insurance underwriting sector. Notably, he has spent nearly 25 years serving in various executive capacities at AIG, including a stint as President of Consumer Lines Americas.

Prior to his appointment at Victor, he co-founded and served as CEO of Vault, a managing general agency and reciprocal insurance exchange catering to high-net-worth individuals.

Meanwhile, Hanuschak, the outgoing CEO of Victor, will assume the position of Chairman and continue his involvement with the company from his location in Chevy Chase, Maryland.

In his new role, Hanuschak will become a strategic advisor to Victor’s leadership team, working closely with Williamson to facilitate a seamless transition for both colleagues and clients.
