Insurance broker and risk advisor Marsh has announced that its current Head of Cyber for the UK and International, Marsh Specialty, Sarah Stephens, will assume the role of US Central Zone Leader on May 1.
In this role, she will lead Marsh’s 18 offices across the Central region of the US, with responsibility for client initiatives, new business, and talent development.
Stephens will relocate to Chicago from London and report to Pat Donnelly, President, US and Canada, Marsh, who commented: “Sarah is a highly experienced leader who excels in developing teams, services, and innovative solutions that benefit our clients and deliver growth.
“Under her leadership, our Central Zone will be well-placed to support clients in this rapidly-changing and often volatile risk landscape.”
Stephens added: “I’m excited to relocate back to Chicago where I started my career and work with colleagues across the Central region to deliver the insights and solutions clients need to manage their risks effectively and grow.”
She brings nearly two decades of insurance and risk management experience to the role having joined Marsh from JLT in 2019 as Cyber, Media & Technology Leader within the UK Financial and Professional Services (FINPRO) Practice.
In 2020 Stephens was named Head of Cyber, UK and International. Before joining JLT in 2015, where she worked for over four years as Head of Cyber / Technology Errors & Omissions (E&O), she spent 12 years with Aon starting as a client specialist supporting large, complex accounts in the US.
During her time at Aon, she moved into a variety of roles of increasing responsibility, ultimately being named Head of Cyber & Commercial Errors & Omissions for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in 2014.
