Marsh & McLennan Companies has appointed Katherine Brennan to Deputy General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer, with effect from October 18.
Brennan will report to Peter Beshar, Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Marsh & McLennan, and be based in the Company’s New York headquarters.
Beshar said; “I am delighted to welcome Kate back to Marsh & McLennan.
“Kate’s significant industry experience, strong working relationships with our management team and board of directors, and demonstrated track record of managing complex legal, governance and regulatory matters make her an ideal choice for this important leadership role.”
Brennan served in a number of leadership roles at Marsh & McLennan, including General Counsel of reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter, Senior Corporate Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary and for the past two years, Brennan has served as Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at S&P Global.
