Mayer Brown adds insurance expertise to London Corporate & Specialties practice

Global law firm Mayer Brown has appointed Jeremy Hill as a Senior Counsel in its London Corporate & Securities Practice, where he will support the expansion of corporate insurance work as a member of the wider Global Insurance Industry Group.

mayer-brown-logoHill has more than 30 years’ experience as a transactional lawyer in the UK market, focusing on cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate finance transactions.

He has represented both insurance and financial institutions clients on acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, matters relating to Lloyd’s, and transactional and contentious regulatory matters.

Hill is also experienced in advising financial institutions on regulatory and compliance liability issues, as well as insurance coverage for directors’ and officers’ liability, professional indemnity, and errors and omissions.

He joins Mayer Brown from the London office of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, where he has served for 14 years, having joined the firm as global Co-Chair of the financial institutions group in 2004.

Prior to his tenure at Debevoise & Plimpton, Hill served as a Senior Partner and management board member at Ashurst LLP.
