The London and International Insurance Brokers’ Association (LIIBA) has announced that McGill and Partners has joined the association.
Start-up specialist insurance and reinsurance broker, McGill and Partners, was launched in 2019 by insurance broking veteran, Steve McGill.
Commenting on the broker’s decision to join LIIBA, the associations Chief Executive, Chris Croft, said: “We are delighted that McGill and Partners has decided to join LIIBA. Growing a new business is challenging in any circumstances, but the issues facing all businesses today are particularly complex.
“Our role is to do the heavy lifting on the issues that our members face collectively, saving them time and effort. With Brexit, the pandemic, increased international regulatory challenges and issues specific to London such as Blueprint Two, we believe that LIIBA will deliver real value to Steve and his team.”
This move comes after the specialist re/insurance brokerage said that a focus on technology and creativity has allowed it to adapt well to the pandemic.
Head of Global Facultative Reinsurance, Paul Summers, claimed that due to the company investing significantly in technology right from the start, when lockdown was announced early 2020, it was a very smooth transition to remote working.
