Liberty Mutual Insurance Group subsidiary, Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), has hired Kerry McKay from XL Catlin as Head of Distribution and Client Management for Continental Europe, a newly-created role.
In his new role McKay will report to Kadidja Sinz, Head of Europe, LSM, and is expected to take up the position in the summer of 2017.
“Kerry joins us at an exciting time as we expand across Europe and grow our capabilities through investment in people and infrastructure. His considerable experience in building great partnerships with brokers as well as understanding the needs of clients in an evolving market will be of real benefit to us,” said Sinz.
McKay brings 27 years of insurance industry experience to LSM, and most recently served as Head of Central Broker Management for insurance and reinsurance company, XL Catlin. Prior to this he worked for re/insurance brokers JLT and Marsh in London, and has extensive distribution experience.
LSM’s Group Chief Underwriting Officer (CEO), Matthew Moore, commented; “We have ambitious plans for our operations in Europe and Kerry’s experience will contribute greatly towards their achievement.”
