Michelle McLaughlin has been named as the new Executive Vice President (EVP) and Property Manager for property and casualty insurer, Chubb’s North America Commercial Insurance unit, replacing Edward Radzinski.
McLaughlin has 25 years of experience working with Chubb, and most recently held the position of Package Property Manager for Commercial Insurance.
In her new role, she will be tasked with overseeing Chubb’s North American, middle market retail commercial property and package property insurance operations, across 48 U.S. and Canadian offices.
McLaughlin will report to Chubb’s EVP and Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO), Commercial Insurance, Paul Lewis, who said; “Michelle’s deep underwriting knowledge and her proven leadership capabilities will be instrumental in focusing on the growth of the organization while helping our commercial property clients in North America protect their assets. I look forward to working with her to build our future property business.”
Derek Talbott, Chubb Division Chairman, North America Property, added; “Michelle is going to provide enormous value in her new role. She will play a vital part in executing Chubb’s property strategy in North America, and I’m confident that her broad industry experience will enable her to meet the evolving risks of our global property customers.”
McLaughlin is set to replace Edward Radzinski, who is to retire at the end of August, 2017, after 39 years with Chubb.
Commenting on Radzinski’s departure, Lewis said; “For more than three decades, Ed played a key role in developing the property underwriting discipline, capabilities and products for the organization. I want to express my deepest thanks and appreciation for his steady hand in developing our people and our business, and we wish him well in his retirement.”
