Vi Digital has partnered with Inari, a core technology infrastructure provider for the global re/insurance industry, to provide the start-up Managing General Agent (MGA) with a tailored underwriting platform solution.
A specialist in algorithmic underwriting, Vi Digital is a follow-only MGA that is driven by its own unique algorithmic-led underwriting decision-making capability.
It was co-founded in 2021 by Chris Léglu, former head of underwriting at Medical Protection Society, and Caspar Murphy, a banking executive.
“The partnership with inari is aligned to the company’s plans to soft launch its specialist MGA facility in the London market, writing a follow-only book on behalf of Lloyd’s market capacity providers,” the firm stated.
Based in Barcelona and founded in 2017, inari was launched by Frank Perkins with three co-founders Veronique Gob, Jochi Jimenez and Teresa Madariaga, all with significant re/insurance experience in markets such as Lloyd’s as well as US or Continental Europe.
Inari provides core insurance policy administration, underwriting dashboard and bordereaux management systems for MGAs, insurance carriers, Lloyd’s syndicates and reinsurance companies worldwide.
It specialises in providing start-up MGAs with instant access to a modern, all-in-one management platform that efficiently and cost-effectively handles core business processes and management needs, freeing up its clients’ time to focus on delivering underwriting expertise.
