Microinsurance Network adds insurtech veteran to Board

The Microinsurance Network (MiN) has announced that InsurTech veteran Michele Grosso, is joining its Board of Directors.

microinsurance-network-logoGrosso is the Co-Founder and CEO of Democrance, a global InsurTech firm that has a mission to make insurance accessible and affordable for those who are in need of it the most, particularly in emerging and mobile-first markets.

In 2015, Grosso established the firm to help insurers increase their digital sales and unlock new markets.

Prior to establishing Democrance, Grosso served in a variety of senior roles across leading consulting, financial, and insurance companies including MetLife, AXA, BNP Paribas, PWC and Candesic.

Grosso, commented on joining MiN’s Board: “There is irrefutable evidence that inclusive insurance has the potential to make a significant and enduring contribution to public policy goals and to closing the global people protection gap.

“The use of technology and digital innovation is key to filling the gaps in the penetration of insurance – particularly in terms of helping to bring insurance to new, often hard-to-reach communities – and I am very much looking forward to working with the excellent MiN team, its members and partners on the ground to bring about meaningful change.”
