Truist Insurance Holdings (TIH), an insurance brokerage in the US, announced recently the appointment of Mike Conway as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective June 10.
Conway brings over 30 years of experience in leading large, complex business organisations in global finance and operations.
“With his strong finance background, Mike is a proven leader in change management, systems implementation, and innovative thinking,” commented TIH CEO John Howard.
“He has been responsible for business transformations globally, including within the insurance brokerage industry. Mike is committed to our vision of being the company that attracts and inspires the world’s most talented insurance professionals,” further added Howard.
In his new role, Conway will provide strategic and operational leadership across all aspects of TIH’s business. He will oversee the company’s financial operations, including financial planning, accounting and controls, treasury, and tax strategy.
Conway joins TIH from another insurance brokerage firm, where he served as Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller. In that role, he enhanced financial control, efficiency, and transparency through initiatives such as systems implementations, data standards, M&A finance modelling and integration, and the cost-saving redesign of financial processes.
Before that, Conway spent 13 years at Thomson Reuters, where he advanced to positions including CFO-Asia, CFO-Global Sales and Service, and Global Head of Sales Operations, Learning & Effectiveness.
Conway holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and an undergraduate degree in business administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
