Reinsurance giant Swiss Re has announced the appointment of Mike Hudzik as Head of its North American Casualty Hub, a role that will also see him join the firm’s Americas Management Team and Casualty Management Team.
Previously Senior Vice President (SVP) at reinsurance firm Swiss Re, where he was responsible for overseeing the reinsurer’s casualty reinsurance treaty underwriting management for international and large clients, Hudzik is expected to assume his new position from January 1st, 2017.
Hudzik has worked in the North American casualty arena for the entirety of his career, gaining more than 30 years of experience, of which almost 20 years was with Swiss Re.
During his time with one of the world’s leading reinsurance companies, he gained valuable experience in technical underwriting, the management of successful client relationships, and leading/managing complex transactions and portfolios.
Hudzik obtained an MBA in Corporate Finance and Investments from Adelphi University, and received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Economics from Boston College.
In his new role he will report to Swiss Re’s global Head of Casualty Underwriting, Steve Arora.
