Independent specialist re/insurance broker Miller has announced the appointment of Debbie Hobbs as Head of Cyber, Technology & Media.
Hobbs joins from cyber MGA EmergIn Risk and will concentrate on growing Miller’s cyber, tech and media book.
She will report into Head of Delegated Authorities & Professional Risks, Tim Norman.
Tim Norman commented “Debbie is recognised as one of the leaders within the cyber insurance market and her expertise will be of great benefit to Miller’s current and future clients,” said Norman. “I am delighted that she has joined us to spearhead our growth in this complex sector.”
Hobbs started her career in law before moving to Travelers in 2014 where she worked in its claims team, specialising in areas including cyber and technology.
Following this, she joined EmergIn Risk at its inception in 2016, proceeding to lead its London unit from 2018.
“The opportunity to be part of Miller’s new chapter and growth story was compelling,” Hobbs added. “I am excited to embark upon a new challenge leading the cyber team and look forward to connecting with contacts across the sector to bring them the best of Miller’s extensive capabilities.”
