MS Amlin recently announced the appointment of Björn Gehrcken as Lead Class Underwriter of Marine & Aviation, based in the company’s Hamburg, Germany, office.
Gehrcken joined the firm on April 1st, 2017, and brings more than fourteen years of insurance industry and business law experience to the role.
In his new role Gehrcken will have a focus on Cargo and Cargo Liability in the German marketplace, and will work closely with the company’s property & casualty division. MS Amlin explained that Gehrcken will also serve as Development Underwriter for its other classes of business in the German market, and will also have access to MS Amlin’s Global Marine & Aviation team.
Prior to MS Amlin, Gehrcken, worked for insurance brokerage Oskar Schunck, where he held a number of positions and was able to build his experience and knowledge.
