African specialist underwriting agency, Neema Insurance Managing Agency, will officially open a London office on 12th February 2024, marking a key milestone in the company’s journey.
Neema is a multi-class MGA which has been operating since 1st October 2020. The company explained that this establishment of a London office is in line with its plans for global expansion.
Sharon Ng, Principal Officer, Neema, commented on the strategic placement of the office in the heart of the City of London, “We are bringing the City of London and its world-class and unparalleled capabilities to our partner clients. London stands as the (re)insurance epicentre with the highest concentration of insurers and reinsurers worldwide, encompassing Lloyd’s syndicates, P&I Clubs, insurance/reinsurance brokers, and general insurance and life assurance companies.”
Ng further explained that the company plans to build its premium income to $500 million “whilst concurrently delivering exceptional profits to our capacity providers through our successfully-proven underwriting.”
Neema recently appointed Gallagher Re as the firm’s reinsurance broker, following the completion of a partnership between the two companies.
