Neptune Flood, a provider of flood insurance across the United States, has crossed $200 million of premium in force, bringing the company to over 5% of the National Flood Insurance Program’s size, securing its role as the primary alternative to the NFIP.
“Growing in scale highlighted the need for sage advice from a group of leading experts in the insurance industry. My executive team is incredibly thankful that this group of seven leaders has agreed to help us in our journey to be the best possible flood insurance company for consumers, agents, and our risk-taking partners,” commented Trevor Burgess, Neptune’s CEO.
At the same time, Neptune Flood has also added seven new members to its newly formed advisory board.
The Neptune Flood Advisory Board Members are:
Jim Albert – The co-founder of Neptune, who served as the company’s CEO through 2019, and held the role of Chairman from 2020 to early 2023. Before Neptune, Albert held senior executive positions in insurance and information technology in both the US and the UK.
Brad Emmons – The former CEO of Orchid, and an active investor and advisor to retail, MGA/MGU, claims, and insurtech businesses.
Bill Martin – An experienced veteran, who has been a leader of large insurers and startups over the last 37 years and has run Boston-based Plymouth Rock’s growing home insurance business for the last seven.
In addition, Martin is also a co-founder of Neptune, a former board member of the insurance industry’s safety organizations, and a renowned expert in the challenges of regulation and catastrophe coverage.
David Paulsson – President of MS Transverse, a division of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group. Before he co-founded Transverse Insurance Group in 2018, Paulsson spent 15 years within the investment industry, where he mostly focused on alternative assets and insurance.
Jessica Snyder – The current President of US Insurance for Argo Group, where she oversees and pursues profitable growth across P&C insurance in the US market.
Prior to Argo, Snyder served as President and CEO at GuideOne Insurance. Before that, she led the commercial and specialty businesses at State Auto Insurance. She has a deep level of leadership experience within the P&C insurance industry, having served as both COO and CFO at Rockhill Insurance Group, as well as CFO at Citizens Property Insurance Company.
Keith Wolfe- The former President, US P&C for reinsurance giant Swiss Re, capping a 27-year career in global insurance and reinsurance. He currently serves as an advisor/Board Director for several other insurance related entities.
Roy Wright – The current President & CEO of the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS), of which Neptune is a member. Prior to joining IBHS, he was at FEMA where he served as the chief executive of the NFIP.
