Newline expands into Latin America through Lloyd’s in Mexico

Specialty insurer Newline Group has joined the Lloyd’s of London representative office in Mexico City, expanding its global footprint into the Latin America region.

Newline GroupNewline has said that it will service clients in both Latin America and the Caribbean from Lloyd’s in Mexico.

The company’s Latin American Division will commence the underwriting of liability and financial lines coverage effective immediately. The Latin America team will report to Stephen Gordon, Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) of Newline Syndicate 1218 at Lloyd’s.

Carl Overy, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Newline, said: “With Newline’s long history of underwriting facultative reinsurance in Latin America, establishing a local presence in Mexico City demonstrates our commitment to be closer to our distribution partners and clients. We are excited to work with Lloyd’s in Mexico and are eager to elevate our profile in this region.”
