NFP names Amanda Ruback to lead Central region’s P&C business

NFP, a property and casualty (P&C) broker, has announced the appointment of Amanda Ruback to spearhead the P&C business in its Central region.

In her new role, Ruback will collaborate with NFP’s Central region, industry group, and risk practice leaders to propel the growth of commercial P&C business.

Her responsibilities include bolstering new business initiatives, client acquisition and retention efforts, and overseeing the management of commercial P&C account teams within the region.

Ruback will have a dual reporting relationship with Michael Schneider, president of the Central and West regions, and Tim DeSett, executive vice president of P&C.

Expressing enthusiasm about Ruback’s appointment, Schneider stated, “I’m thrilled to welcome Amanda to NFP as she will be instrumental in advancing the integration of our specialised P&C expertise and capabilities across our Central region. She has significant experience leading risk management teams and brings an understanding of the challenges clients face and the solutions they need to achieve their risk management goals.”

Ruback, with over two decades of experience in insurance, risk management, and leadership, joins NFP from AIG, where she held various roles, culminating in her position as managing director for the Chicago region.

Her responsibilities included leading AIG’s market execution with brokers and clients across retail and wholesale distribution products. Prior to her tenure at AIG, Ruback served as senior vice president, Risk Management, at Lockton Companies, and held leadership roles in risk management at PepsiCo, Inc. and Starwood Capital Group.

Tim DeSett commented on Ruback’s appointment, stating, “Amanda brings exceptional relationships and expertise to NFP, plus a proven track record of success. With her diverse experience, including broking and client service, she will enhance alignment within our P&C business, help connect our industry and risk practice expertise with client challenges, and advance our ability to deliver the solutions clients need.”
