Niyam Group, an Indian-focused reinsurance platform, has appointed Ritesh Shah as Director of Engineering and Construction.
Shah brings the depth to write complex, large-scale risks, which is what is currently required for India’s infrastructure ambition, explained the firm.
Most recently, he spent nearly 14 years at industry giant Swiss Re in senior roles including Vice President, Assistant Vice President, and Associate.
Before this, Shah served in the capacity of a Risk Consultant for Swiss Re, moving to Corso India Private Limited in the same role.
The reinsurer said, “He has not come to step into something settled. He has come to shape the Engineering & Construction portfolio from the ground up, with conviction and with care. Welcome Ritesh Shah. The road ahead is going to be a meaningful one.”
Last month, Thierry Porté, Managing Director & Vice Chairman, J.C. Flowers & Co., and Jonathan Cox, Managing Director, J.C. Flowers & Co., joined the Board of Directors of Niyam.
