Specialty Lloyd’s of London managing general agent (MGA), Occam Underwriting, has added Dr Alan Punter to its Board as a Non-Executive Director.
Punter worked for 25 years in global insurance broking groups Sedgwick, Alexander & Alexander and then Aon, where he was Managing Director in the Chairman’s Office, and Chief Executive Officer of Aon Capital Markets.
As well as authoring several books on risk management, corporate governance, insurance, reinsurance and ILS, Punter’s academic career spans numerous universities and institutes, including City University Business School, Institute of Mathematics, Royal Statistical Society, and the University of Cambridge.
“Alan is a prominent thought leader in many fields from risk management and governance to insurance, reinsurance and insurance-linked assets that are at the intersection between insurance and capital markets,” said Occam Underwriting Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Lance Gibbins.
