PartnerRe promotes André Piché to President of Canadian L&H

Bermuda-based reinsurer PartnerRe has announced the promotion of André Piché to President of its Canadian Life & Health (L&H) operations, effective May 19th, 2020.

André PichéIn his new role, Piché takes overall responsibility for the firm’s Canadian L&H operation, and will report to Alan Ryder, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of North America Life.

Piché joined PartnerRe in 2012 and most recently served as Chief Business Development Officer, Life & Health, Canada, where he successful drove the growth and profitability of the business.

He brings extensive life reinsurance industry experience to the role, having spent the majority of his career in pricing various types of life and health solutions, working on product development, building relationships with clients, and in leadership roles.

Commenting on Piché’s appointment, Ryder said: “André has been instrumental in the growth of our Canadian business. He has successfully led our business development resulting in strong client relationships, an increase in PartnerRe’s market position and the development of our portfolio.

“I am confident that under André’s leadership our Canadian business will continue to deliver on our commitments to provide our clients with the reinsurance solutions and service they value and our shareholders with attractive returns. I wish André every success in his new role.”
