Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C), subsidiary of the Italian insurance giant, has hired Patricia Puerta as the firm’s new GC&C Head of Mediterranean & Latin America, effective May 2, 2024.
She joins the company with over 20 years of experience from working across the insurance sector.
Puerta began her career by working as a Claims Handler at global re/insurance broker, Aon. Her tenure at the firm lasted for nine months.
After her stint at Aon, Puerta would join XL Group (which was acquired by AXA in 2018), where she would serve as Deputy Casualty UW Manager Iberia & LATAM / Life Science Practice Leader, for over 10 years.
Moving forward, in 2015 she would join QBE Insurance, where she was based in Spain. She would end up serving in a variety of different roles, including Portfolio Manager, Underwriting Manager, and her most recent role at the firm, General Manager.
In February, GC&C announced the appointment of Carlos Gomez as the new Head of Insurance.
In the role, Gomez leads and oversees GC&C activities related to the entire insurance process.
