Insurance broker, and business of Marsh McLennan, Marsh, has promoted Patrick Hennessy to the role of Northeast Zone Leader effective immediately.
In the role, he is expected to lead the broker’s eight offices across the Northeast region of the United States, where he will hold responsibility for client initiatives, new business, and talent development.
Hennessy will report to Michelle Sartain, President Marsh US. Marsh.
Based in New York, Hennessy brings three decades of brokerage, consulting, and management experience towards his new role, having spent his entire career with Marsh assuming roles of increasing responsibility.
In his most recent role at the company, he served as Northeast Zone Risk Management Leader.
In addition, Hennessy succeeds Chris Roak who has assumed the newly created role of US Strategy and Execution Leader, reporting to Sartain.

Earlier this month, Marsh launched ReadyCell, a risk financing solution that enables companies of all sizes to quickly open their own insurance company and take greater control of their risk management.
Marsh also recently appointed Andy Stirk as its US Chief Growth Officer, effective January 16.
