Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS), a provider of insurance management and consulting services, has announced the appointment of veteran Paul Gatutha as Director in its Hamilton office.
In his new role, Gatutha will be responsible for a broad portfolio of insurance and reinsurance clients and will be a key member of the Bermuda leadership team, said SRS.
With more than two decades of experience in insurance management, Gatutha joins SRS from Marsh Management Services, where he was Senior Vice President. A chartered accountant, he has served as both a chartered financial analyst and a chartered property and casualty underwriter.
Gatutha said: “I was attracted to SRS’s culture of dedication to client service as well as its diverse clientele. I am pleased to have this opportunity in a dynamic and growing business.”
Commenting on the appointment Jonathan Reiss, Chairman of SRS Bermuda, said: “I have known Paul for nearly 20 years and am delighted to have him join our growing team.
“Paul is a recognized leader in the insurance management sector who brings to SRS deep expertise across captives and commercial insurance and reinsurance ventures as well as across both the Life and Property & Casualty industries. His knowledge and client-first mentality will fit in well at SRS.”
Gatutha’s appointment follows a string of new hires as the company expands its operations. The new hires include Brad Meindersma as President of SRS Managers in Canada and Peter Child as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SRS’ European operation.
