QBE has announced the appointment of Gill Rhodes as Regional Underwriting Manager to expand its UK financial lines capabilities.
Rhodes holds two decades of financial lines underwriting experience and joins from Chubb, where she was Northern Region Financial Lines Manager.
In the newly created role, Rhodes will be responsible for QBE’s Financial Lines products regionally, with a particular focus on Professional Indemnity, Management Liability and Cyber as part of QBE’s UK growth plans.
She will report to Andy Fitzgerald, Director of UK Regions and will be based in QBE’s Leeds office.
Fitzgerald commented on the appointment, stating, “We’re delighted to have someone of Gill’s calibre joining the team.”
“She will play a pivotal role in growing our financial lines business in regional markets in the UK as part of our overall growth plan.”
He added, “QBE has always been a major player in financial lines with a strong London-based presence and we look forward to expanding our regional presence with Gill on board, particularly as more businesses see management liability and cyber as essential cover to have in place.”
