QBE North America has appointed Laura Coppola as Chief Underwriting Officer.
Coppola is based in New York and will serve on North America’s Executive Management Board.
As Chief Underwriting Officer, she will be responsible for portfolio optimization and management across QBE North America. She will lead a fully integrated, efficient and world-class team dedicated to enhancing underwriting practices, processes and governance.
Overall, Coppola joins QBE NA with more than 25 years of technical underwriting experience in property & casualty insurance.
Prior to joining QBE, Coppola served as Managing Director, Global Head of FINPRO, Head of Casualty, NA at Swiss Re Solutions.
Prior to Swiss Re, Coppola served as Regional Head of Financial Lines , NA at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty.
In addition, she also previously served as Vice President, Executive Assurance at Arch Insurance Group.
