QBE North America has announced the appointments of Rachel Pollack as Chief People Officer and David Mulligan as Chief Operating Officer.
In her new role, Pollack will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the North America People strategy to support business-specific initiatives.
Pollack joined QBE in 2008 and has since held a variety of roles in change management, human resources (now People), culture and business transformation.
She most recently served as Group People Director, Global Corporate Functions and before that, Group Head of Enterprise Culture, a role which QBE states she pioneered.
According to the firm, Pollack is familiar with North America, having served in New York as Vice President, Head of HR Change from 2014-2015, where she led several transformation initiatives, including organisational design, restructuring and HR systems.
Meanwhile, Mulligan, who has been named COO, joined QBE in 2013 as VP of IT Strategy and Transformation, after which he took on broader responsibilities as VP of Business Transformation, and then SVP of Business Transformation.
In his new role, Mulligan will be responsible for executing large-scale change projects to improve process efficiency, reduce complexity, and increase cost savings while also enhancing workforce capability and the customer experience.
He will lead QBE NA’s business delivery teams, including digital transformation, business process reengineering, automation and robotics and the offshore transition team.
In addition, Mulligan will oversee underwriting operations, program onboarding and services, billing, collections, accounts payable, production automation support, procurement and real estate.
Before QBE, he held leadership and consulting roles at Anthem, Paradox Advisors, CUNA Mutual Group, Accenture, Best Buy and Deloitte Consulting.
Elsewhere in QBE Insurance Group’s international operations, Scott Jacobs was recently named as Head of Core Claims, QBE Europe, taking over from Nathan Fuller, who now serves as Chief Operations Officer, QBE International.
Further, in December last year, QBE appointed Rob Stone as the Chief Financial Officer of QBE International.
