QBE Re has appointed Salvatore Sama as Global Product Head for Casualty, Jane Farren as Global Head of Financial Professional Lines, and Derek Durst as Global Head of Cyber.
The three Global Product Heads, expected to take up their new positions this month, will be responsible for underwriting quality, governance, and oversight for each product around the world, according to QBE Re.
The firm noted that they will work closely with Mark Jackaman, who was appointed General Manager, London, in September 2023.
Sama, based in New York, holds more than two decades of financial services experience, having spent ten years at Swiss Re before joining QBE.
Meanwhile, Farren has worked at QBE Re in New York for close to three years with other industry experience including Aspen Insurance Group and also Swiss Re.
Durst started his career at QBE Re in London in 2012, having worked with Aon for five years previously.
