Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore (TMLS) has announced the appointment of Raymond Ong as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
“With his deep industry expertise and regional perspective, Mr Ong is well positioned to lead TMLS into its next phase of growth,” a TMLS spokesperson stated.
Adding: “His appointment reinforces our focus on strengthening customer experience, enhancing operational excellence, and delivering solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers and partners.”
Before joining TMLS, Ong served as the CEO of Etiqa Insurance Singapore, a life and general insurance company in Singapore and a member of Maybank Group.
Prior to that, he spent close to twelve years at Great Western, where he held a number of positions.
As Group Chief Officer he had oversight for all entities in the Great Eastern Group in all areas of Risk Management, including Financial Risk, Operational Risk & Governance, Regulatory Compliance & AML Compliance, Market Conduct & Fair Dealing, Data Management & Governance, and Technology Risk Management.
During his tenure at Great Western he also served as Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Actuary.
Through his career, Ong also held positions at AXA Minmetals Assurance – a Shanghai-based joint venture between the AXA Group and China Minmetals Group -, AXA, Cigna International, Aviva, Allianz Insurance, and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
