Insurance broker Marsh has appointed Robert Perry as UK Chief Executive Officer, Credit Specialties, Marsh Specialty.
Perry takes on this new role in addition to his current role at Marsh as Global Political Risk & Structured Credit Leader.
Based in London, Perry will report to Nick Robson – Global Leader, Credit Specialties, Marsh Specialty, and Dominic Samengo-Turner, UK CEO, Marsh Specialty.
In the role, Perry will oversee the development of Credit Specialties’ risk and insurance services and solutions for both UK clients and international clients by using the London insurance market, which includes corporate businesses, financial institutions, commodity traders and public agencies.
Marsh’s Credit Specialties team consists of over 850 colleagues in more than 55 countries. The team brings together the key credit risk transfer and product disciplines of political risk and structured credit insurance, trade credit insurance, and surety.
Perry was appointed as Marsh’s Global Political Risk & Structured Credit Leader in July 2022. Within this role he is responsible for the development of Marsh Specialty’s political risk and structured credit capabilities globally.
Prior to this, he served as Asia Credit Specialties Leader, a position he held from 2019.
With over 30 years of experience in the political risk and structured credit insurance market, Perry has worked in the UK, the US, and Asia.
Before he Marsh Specialty, Perry spent 20 years at WTW where he served in various leadership roles, including Divisional Director of the firms New York Financial Solutions, and Managing Director of the firms Singapore Financial Solutions.
