Insurance management, fiduciary and financial advisory group Robus has appointed Justin Upson as Director of the Guernsey office.
Upson will lead Robus’ Protected Cell Company (PCC) providing innovative solutions to Robus clients, as well as being the client lead for Robus’ PCC.
He will also have operational responsibilities for a number of captive insurance companies as well as commercial insurance companies.
Upson will be responsible for all aspects of his clients including finance and administration, company secretarial, insurance needs, including programme design, solvency, claims handling, reserving, policy documentation and reinsurance contract wordings.
He’s worked within the Guernsey finance industry for 30 years, predominately working in finance related roles having previously worked for Aon Insurance Managers (Guernsey) Limited for 19 years.
Prior to that, Upson has worked for Coutts Private Bank where he held the position of Financial Controller Coutts Offshore Europe.
With extensive experience in relation to managing captives and protected cell companies spanning a number of industry backgrounds including banking & finance, accounting, transportation, pharmaceutical manufacturing, beverage manufacturing & distribution, insurance & investment and bloodstock.
