RSA Group, one of the largest UK commercial insurers, has announced the appointment of Karen Caddick as Group & UK HR Director.
She replaces Cathy Lewis, who has served in the role since 2016 and is due to retire from executive work this year.
“With a strong track record inside and outside of the insurance industry, Karen has the expertise required to help our people and business achieve success in our chosen markets,” said Group Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Hester.
Caddick has served within a variety of Senior HR roles for companies including Barclays Bank, Channel Five, The Financial Times, Punch Taverns & Spirit Group PLC, and Morrisons PLC.
She rejoins RSA following nearly four years with Saga, where she served as Group Human Resources Director.
In her new role, Caddick will sit on the Group and UK&I Executive Committees.
“I am especially pleased that she has chosen to return to RSA to support us in the next phase of our development, combining a good understanding of our culture and values with insight and experience gained elsewhere,” Hester added.
“I would also like to extend my thanks to Cathy, under whom RSA has taken important steps forward in our HR agenda across the Group.”
Commenting on her appointment, Caddick said, “I’m delighted to be returning to RSA, a company whose values have remained with me throughout my career.”
“I’ll be immersing myself in the business, really listening to our people to understand what we need to do to continue building a high performing, fantastic place to work.”
