Russell Group builds launches data provider service ALPS Casualty

4th September 2017 - Author: Staff Writer

Russell Group has partnered with data providers Dun & Bradstreet to launch a matching service, ALPS Casualty, that matches and references each portfolio’s insureds, allowing any insured to be identified through a universal identifier and thus enhancing the underwriting process.

Russell Group CEO, Suki Basi commented on the launch of ALPS Casualty “ALPS Casualty is the first of a new generation of ALPS products that will help underwriters to model, price and manage connected risk”.

The service also links any subsidiary insured company to its parent and identifies the insureds’ geographies and industry sectors.

This is the first time Russell products have utilised this service, which aims to assist casualty underwriters in defining and accurately modelling actual or as if events and scenarios on first loss or next loss basis, gross and net of reinstatement and reinsurance.

ALPS Casualty supports the analytical modelling of liability exposures emanating from the corporate industry, improving underwriters’ understanding of firm’s exposure, capital use and underlying risk.
