Chicago-based Ryan Specialty Group has purchased the assets and operations of Boston Insurance Specialists (BIS), an independent wholesale insurance brokerage, for an undisclosed fee.
BIS’ team will become part of the group’s wholesale brokerage unit, R-T Specialty, in an effort to enhance its presence in New England.
A family owned business started in 2001 and led by founders Debbie Murphy and Peggy Giancola, BIS’ specialty product solutions include Property, Casualty, Professional Liability and Personal Lines.
