Safety National hires Tim O’Grady as VP, Underwriting

Safety National, a multi-line specialty re/insurer and member of the Tokio Marine Group, has appointed Tim O’Grady as Vice President, Underwriting for its casualty division.

safety-national-logoO’Grady brings just under 30 years of industry experience, with a large account underwriting background.

He has previously served in various underwriting leadership positions managing regional underwriting teams for several lines of coverage, including large casualty, umbrella and multi-national, at some of the largest national insurance providers.

O’Grady will be responsible for leading large casualty underwriting for the southwest region and Colorado through oversight of Safety National’s Dallas, Texas office.

In addition, he will directly manage Safety National’s large casualty presence in Florida, Alabama and Mississippi.

His proven track record in underwriting management for large complex casualty accounts, combined with his extensive leadership experience, will complement our existing team particularly well.
