Sands Point Risk, a new entrant in the insurance industry, has officially launched its operations as a managing general agent (MGA) with a focus on providing expanded opportunities in financial and property and casualty insurance lines.
The company is particularly renowned for its expertise in Transaction Liability Insurance (TLI) and will offer a comprehensive suite of products in this area, including Representation and Warranties, Tax Liability, and Contingent Liability Insurance.
Led by a senior leadership team with extensive experience in TLI, Sands Point aims to protect entrepreneurs, investors, and industry stakeholders by uniquely managing transaction risks.
The leadership team comprises industry veterans who have collectively underwritten thousands of transactions involving strategic and private equity buyers and sellers across various industries and sizes.
Dennis Kearns, the Chief Executive Officer of Sands Point, brings over 25 years of experience in underwriting, product development, policy drafting, and claims.
Patrick Darragh, the Executive Vice President, boasts more than 20 years of underwriting experience, including transactional risk and management liability.
Dan Simnowitz, another Executive Vice President, has spent his entire 17-year career in the insurance industry.
JoAnna Conte, the Chief Operating Officer, brings over two decades of experience across Commercial Underwriting, Specialty Operations, and Technology Solutions.
