Schofield & Cutts-Watson complete merger of RISCS & CWC

Industry veterans Oliver Schofield and Malcolm Cutts-Watson, principles of Risk and Insurance Strategy Consultants (RISCS) and Cutts-Watson Consulting (CWC) have announced the completion of the merger of their respective businesses into the newly created RISCS CWC, effective immediately.

Details of the merger were first announced in January 2023.

Under the terms of the merger, the business will be led by Schofield as CEO and Cutts-Watson will assume role of Non-executive Chairman.

Founded by Schofield in 2012, RISCS is an independent consultancy that provides captive and alternative risk transfer strategic risk advice to brokers, underwriters, corporates and captives globally.

Meanwhile, CWC was formed in 2015 by Cutts-Watson and a group of captive practitioners, and similarly provides a broad range of advisory services in the ART space.

Cutts-Watson, commented on the merger: “I’m delighted to advise the merger went smoothly and the combined resources of RISCS CWC are now available to all our clients.”
