French reinsurer SCOR has announced that David Sütterle and Damien Bartlett will be stepping into new senior roles in 2024, which are set to “enhance” the firm’s strategic focus and “streamline” its operations.
Sütterle will serve as the CEO of ReMark, SCOR Digital Solutions, while also maintaining his current responsibilities as Chief Digital and Innovation Officer L&H.
Sütterle has worked at SCOR for over eight years, having begun his career at the firm as Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (SCOR Global Life).
He later became Chief Capital and Financial Manager Life, and then Chief Strategy Officer Global Life.
In 2022, Sütterle was named Global Head of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships (P&C + L&H), and this year took up the mantle of Chief Digital and Innovation Officer L&H.
Before SCOR, Sütterle served in various roles for a range of tenures at InsurTech Hub Munich and ERGO Group AG, among others.
Meanwhile, Bartlett, formerly SCOR Regional CEO of EMEA and Canada, will become Head of Strategy for SCOR Life & Health.
Bartlett is a SCOR veteran of over two decades, beginning his career at the firm as a market actuary in 2001.
He Rose through the ranks to become Head of Global Markets – UK/Ire, SA, Canada & ANZ in 2022, later becoming Regional CEO for EMEA + Canada – L&H.
SCOR noted that the appointments will help to enhance its strategic focus and streamline operations. Both roles are effective from 1 January 2024.
