SCOR makes senior Group appointments

Global reinsurance players SCOR has announced a number of senior appointments, naming heads of its Americas and Asia Pacific hubs, as well as changes in its technology and public affairs functions.

All the new appointments are immediately in effect and sit in Group level functions within the French headquartered reinsurance firm.

Paul Christoff has been named Managing Director of the Americas Hub, reporting to Romain Launay, Group Chief Operating Officer. Christoff will also keep his current responsibility as Chief Financial Officer of the Americas Hub as well.

Eric Pooi, currently Chief Operating Officer of the Asia-Pacific life reinsurance division, is named Managing Director of the Asia-Pacific Hub, reporting to Romain Launay. Pooi replaces Ben Ho, who has been appointed as an Advisor to the Managing Director of the Asia-Pacific Hub.

Marc Philippe, currently Deputy Chief Information Officer in the technology and digital division at SCOR, becomes the Group’s Chief Information Officer, reporting to Romain Launay. He replaces Régis Delayat, who has been appointed as Digital Advisor to the Chairman.

Romain Portelli, currently in charge of information technology at SCOR Global P&C, has been appointed Deputy Chief Information Officer, to manage the functional scope of the Group’s information technology.

Guillaume Ominetti, currently Head of Capital Shield Strategy within Group Risk Management, has been appointed Advisor to the Chairman and Head of Public Affairs.

Romain Launay, Group Chief Operating Officer of SCOR, added; “SCOR’s Hub structure, which involves the pooling of support functions at regional level, offers an efficient platform for providing high-quality services to our business engines. With the appointment of Paul Christoff in the Americas and Eric Pooi in Asia-Pacific, we will further focus on operational excellence in these regions, which generate around 60% of the Group’s  gross written premiums.
