Tokio Marine HCC (TMHCC) – Specialty Group, a division of the Tokio Marine HCC group, has announced the appointment of Shaun Russ as Head of Crisis Management for the London Market.
This announcement coincides with Mark Hutton’s promotion to Head of Crisis Management, International, in May 2024.
Russ brings over 15 years of experience in the London Market, most recently as Senior Product Recall Underwriter at AXA XL.
He has also held roles at Chubb Global Markets and Lockton Companies International. Russ’s achievements include expanding the Product Recall portfolio in London and entering new markets, notably Japan.
His expertise focuses on managing complex Product Recall risks, with a specialisation in contaminated products and non-food items such as automotive components and consumer goods.

Alongside Mark Hutton and Ian Davidson, Shaun will be responsible for the growth of our international Product Recall portfolio, complementing our industry-leading division in the US.”
In his new position, Russ will collaborate closely with Ian Davidson, Senior Underwriter, Crisis Management, who joined the team in March 2024.
This reinforces Tokio Marine HCC – Specialty Group’s leadership in US product recall expertise, now bolstered by Russ’s leadership in the London Market.
