Sidley names Carl Hotton as Partner for M&A and Private Equity, London

Sidley, an international law firm advising insurers and financial institutions on regulatory and transactional matters, has appointed Carl Hotton as a Partner to its M&A and Private Equity practice in London.

welcome matMost recently, he served at DLA Piper as a Partner for the Corporate group, specialising in Insurance M&A and reinsurance transactions.

Hotton has a broad cross-border corporate practice with significant experience advising clients on transactions in the insurance sector, including property and casualty, life, and Lloyd’s market.

He advises insurers, reinsurers, intermediaries, and financial sponsors on domestic and cross-border M&A, insurance portfolio transfers, reinsurance transactions, strategic investments and JVs, group reorganisations, and related insurance regulatory matters.
