Sigma7 names Owen Belman as CEO to drive global expansion

Global risk information and services company, Sigma7, has announced the appointment of Owen Belman as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

mergers and acquisitionsBelman, a seasoned leader with extensive experience in international insurance, risk consulting, and banking, joins Sigma7 after an illustrious 12-year tenure as the head of Aon’s operations in Asia.

In his new role, Belman will leverage his profound expertise in strategy, leadership, and organisational design to lead Sigma7 through its rapid expansion phase.

Sigma7 specialises in holistic risk management services, connecting organisational risk profiles to business strategies and operational tactics, assisting businesses across various sectors in enhancing their risk programs while staying committed to their core mission.

Belman’s career includes his recent position as the CEO, Asia at Aon, where he successfully expanded the company’s presence in the intricate and swiftly evolving insurance markets across the Asian region.

He was responsible for driving strategy, execution, and financial performance across eleven markets and four business lines, encompassing Commercial Risk Solutions, Health Solutions, Wealth Solutions, and Human Capital Solutions.

Before his tenure at Aon, Belman held prominent positions in consumer banking at Standard Chartered Bank in the Philippines, UAE, and Hong Kong. He also contributed significantly to the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong as a Board member and treasurer for five years.
