Sompo Canopius AG has appointed former QBE analyst Bruce Shepherd to credit and political risk analyst, set to lead credit analysis within the firm’s credit, political and crisis division.
Shepherd, an experienced credit analyst with a specialisation in complex, structured credit risk in industrialised and emerging markets, will be reporting to Bernie de Haldevang.
Commenting on the appointment, de Haldevang said; “Bruce will be a great asset to the team and, most importantly, to the brokers we work with; many will know him personally or by reputation.
“We’ve been investing in underwriting capability recently to boost our firepower across the credit, political and crisis division and Bruce will provide invaluable expertise to support this. He brings with him a deep knowledge of the broader field of credit and associated political risk analysis.”
