Stephen Lewin has joined Yard Insurance from Société Centrale de Réassurance as Head Of Reinsurance.
Yard Insurance is a firm that assists clients with their corporate insurance needs, through alternative risk transfer/risk financing models, as well as, providing facilities for underwriting management agencies and affinity groups.
Based in South Africa, Lewin joins the company from Société Centrale de Réassurance, where he most recently held the role of Regional Manager Southern Africa.
Prior to that he had short stints at GIC Re South Africa Ltd., and One Risk Africa, where he served as Reinsurance Underwriting Manager and Chief Underwriting Officer, respectively.
Previously, Lewin also spent just over two years working at Guy Carpenter, where he held the role of Senior Treaty Broker.
In addition, he also previously worked at African Reinsurance Corporation for over seven years, where he held the role of Treaty Manager.
Moreover, Lewin also served at WTW as a Facultative Broker between September 2003 – September 2006.
