Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, the commercial insurance arm of reinsurance giant Swiss Re Group, has appointed Seelan Naidoo as head of property & specialty lines in South Africa.
He brings with him over 30 years’ experience in the commercial insurance sector and most recently served as head of property and engineering for Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty South Africa.
Effective 1 February 2020, Naidoo will take charge of the underwriting strategy and development of the property & specialty portfolios in South and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Based in Johannesburg, he will also oversee the general property, mining & energy and engineering & construction portfolios as well as all property-related innovative risk solutions.
